My 3-Items Secret to a Wrinkle-Free Face
Over my 50s I’ve been complimented on my skin by strangers more than ever before. "Your complexion is glowing!" or “You look at least a decade younger than your age!” are common remarks. While I love the compliments, I realized that the ingredients to keeping my skin healthy and wrinkle-free is really three things.
So, in this blog post I’m sharing my 3 ingredient recipe for ageless skin. But before you do, let’s discuss the importance of skin health, especially as we age.
The Skin Health is What Matters
Our skin, the largest organ in our body, is constantly exposed to environmental stressors, pollution, and this UV radiation (both UVA and UV). Our skin's natural capacity to recover from and regenerate itself decreases as we get older, resulting in fine lines, wrinkles and age spots.
But we can help our skin stay healthy and our complexion supple and youthful by including the right ingredients in our skincare.
My 3-Ingredient Formula
So what are the three ingredients that helped me maintain a wrinkle-free complexion? Here they are:
Hyaluronic acid : Once I wash my face I smear it all over my face and neck, then I apply my moisturizer which also has hyaluronic acid.
Vitamin C: In the morning, I then pump some Vitamin C serum on my skin and pat it in my face, to protect my skin from environmental aggressor and help with collagen production.
Niacinamide: This Vitamin B3 derivative improves skin elasticity and reduces inflammation while also fortifying the skin barrier. It’s a groundbreaking treatment for achieving firmer, smoother skin.
How I Use These Ingredients
I use a mix of serums, moisturizers, and face masks to add these three ingredients to my daily skincare routine. Here are some notes on how I use each ingredient:
Hyaluronic acid: Once I wash my face I smear it all over my face and neck, then I apply my moisturizer which also has hyaluronic acid.
Vitamin C: In the morning, I then pump some Vitamin C serum on my skin and pat it in my face, — to protect my skin from environmental aggressor and help with collagen production.
Niacinamide: At night I use a niacinamide-rich moisturizer to help repair and strengthen my skin.
Conclusion
So we said: Top perennial question about skin: How do I get healthy, wrinkle-free skin? Adding these three basic ingredients will help maintain your skin health and help you to achieve glowing and youthful skin.
Remember, consistency is key. Stay with your skincare routine, and do not be afraid of trying out varying products and ingredients until you discover what suits your skin best.
